A Salute to David Sanborn and the Saxophone; Benefit concert for the Arts
A Salute to David Sanborn and the Saxophone is an exclusive, intimate benefit concert honoring the legendary saxophonist David Sanborn. Hosted in the Strauss Studio Theatre at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, this event promises an up-close and personal experience, with seating that places the audience in the heart of the performance.
The evening will be guided by MC Jason Church, whose dynamic presence will keep the energy high and ensure a seamless flow of performances. Jason will bring his charisma and passion for music to the stage, setting the perfect tone for the evening.
The Strauss Studio Theatre, known for its intimate setting and exceptional acoustics, is the ideal venue to celebrate Sanborn's legacy. Featuring performances by St. Louis' finest saxophonists, including Paul DeMarinis, Jason Swagler, Bennett Wood, Jim Stevens, and Kendrick Smith, and complemented by powerhouse vocalists Charles Glenn, Kim Fuller Barnes, Joe Mancuso, and Joanna Serenko, this tribute will capture the essence of Sanborn’s iconic artistry.
All proceeds benefit the arts in Kirkwood through tax-deductible donations to the Kirkwood Arts Foundation, a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) supporting the programming of the Kirkwood Arts Commission.
Join MC Jason Church and an extraordinary lineup of artists in the intimate setting of the Strauss Studio Theatre for an unforgettable night celebrating the legacy of David Sanborn and supporting the future of local arts.
